HDPE geocell for gravel road stabilization
High Load-Bearing Strength: Effectively distributes loads and reduces stress on subgrade, ideal for heavy-duty roads and parking areas.
Excellent Soil Stabilization: Prevents lateral movement of infill materials, improving the performance of weak soils.
Superior Drainage & Flexibility: Perforated walls allow water to pass through, preventing waterlogging and soil erosion.
Durable HDPE Material: Resistant to UV, oxidation, chemicals, and corrosion for long-term outdoor performance.
Easy Installation: Lightweight panels expand quickly and can be secured with anchors or staples for efficient construction.
HDPE geocell for gravel road stabilization
Product Description
HDPE Geocell is a three-dimensional honeycomb structure made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sheets that are ultrasonically welded together. When expanded on-site and filled with soil, gravel, or concrete, the geocell forms a strong, flexible confinement system that enhances load-bearing capacity, prevents soil movement, and improves road stability.
It is widely used for road reinforcement, slope protection, embankment stabilization, and erosion control in civil engineering, mining, and construction projects.
Function:
Reinforcement:
Enhanced Load-Bearing Capacity: Once filled and anchored, Geocell distributes loads evenly, reducing pressure on weak subgrades.
Foundation Stabilization: The honeycomb structure confines the infill material, limiting lateral displacement and improving stability, especially on slopes and soft ground
Minimized Differential Settlement: By evenly distributing stress and restricting movement, the geocell helps prevent localized settlement and extends the lifespan of infrastructure.
Protection:
Surface Erosion Control: In slopes, riverbanks, the geocell secures the surface layer (soil, vegetation, or stone) and prevents washout by rainfall or water flow.
Stabilization of Cover Materials: Keeps soil or stone infill in place during heavy rain, strong winds, or runoff.
Reduced Surface Water Velocity: The cellular structure slows down water flow reducing shear stress and erosion riske
Runoff and Washout Prevention: Especially effective in areas with heavy rainfall. steep gradients, or coastal zones
Applications
Roadbed and pavement reinforcement
Railway and highway subgrade stabilization
Parking lots and access roads
Retaining wall and slope erosion control
Load support for mining or oil field areas
